I am blessed to have grown up in a christian home my whole life. My dad has been a children's director at various churches, and the Lord began to use his ministry to shape His calling on my life. I had the privilege of working for my dad in children's ministry every summer throughout high school and eventually I was able to intern with him once I graduated. I attended Troy University where the Lord continued to grow my love for kids while I pursued a degree in Elementary Education. I met my husband, Jonathan, my first night in Troy, and we got married in 2016 in the middle of my first full year of teaching at Clay Elementary. I taught at Clay for nine years where the Lord continued to equip and prepare me as I sought to minister to the kids and families around me. 

About a couple of years ago, the Lord began to move in my heart that my time serving in a public school was limited. My heart was grieved as I began to mourn the loss of a career that I had worked hard to pursue, but God in His rich kindness opened up a door at Christ Church where I now am able to serve as the Children's Director. Looking back, it is amazing to see the faithfulness of the Lord as He used so many people and experiences to equip and prepare me to serve in this role.
